This 'Casse Noisette' or 'Nutcracker' print was designed by Antoine de Jacquelot, a French naturalist and artist renowned for his Hermes scarf designs of trees, plants, animals, birds, and insects. His charming design depicts nature's nutcrackers, tree squirrels, scurrying about the high boughs of an oak tree dining on acorns. This rare design was first issued by Hermes as part of its 1997/1998 fall/summer collection and reissued again as part of its 2001/2002 fall/winter collection.
